Did you know that certain foods have an aphrodisiac power on the body and on hormones? Despite the fact that opinions are not unanimous on the subject, certain foods really have the capacity to awaken sexual desire in us. Focus on what’s on our plate!

The list of foods that can influence and increase our libido is quite long, but here are a few that you definitely have on hand regularly.

Chocolate
Although it can be sensual in the way we taste it (we just have to think of the fruits we dip in fondue...) chocolate is at the top of the list of aphrodisiac foods. In fact, the cocoa it contains is a sexual stimulant which has a vasodilator effect. It allows blood vessels to dilate and blood to circulate better, up to the genitals. So, the next time you taste a chocolate dessert, know that it will stimulate your endorphins, the hormones linked to pleasure!

Oysters
Oysters contain dopamine, which influences desire in both men and women. Being also rich in zinc, they stimulate the production of testosterone, the key element in male sexuality. This seafood really has several virtues since it also allows the woman to see her level of love juice, the liquid which is found at the entrance to the vagina, increase after having consumed it. So it's no surprise that this food is so popular for a romantic dinner!

Saffron
It would be considered the aphrodisiac spice par excellence! Its stimulating action is as high as that of the body's hormones due to its high phytosterol content. Ginger
Just like chocolate, ginger has vasodilator properties. It therefore increases blood circulation and promotes irrigation of the sexual organs. Champagne!
Without being a “regular” aphrodisiac food, its disinhibitory effect contributes to behavior modification, and thus increases sexual desire. The same is true for most alcohols. Be careful...consuming too much of it will have the opposite effect, and will send you straight into the arms of Morpheus.
