Olfactory memory would be the one that evokes the most memories in humans, all senses combined. Indeed, the sense of smell is able to remind us of a memory linked to childhood or even to a former romantic partner. The smell of a comforting food or an intoxicating perfume will take us back to the past for a few seconds, since our brain will have associated the smell with a specific and often happy moment in our life.

Without us realizing it, smell also has a very strong romantic connection. Indeed, it would have an influence even in the choice of our partner, and it is the pheromones which are mainly responsible. Pheromones come from a mixture of substances coming from the exocrine glands, glands which have the capacity to secrete certain materials outside the body. In doing so, they provoke specific behaviors between individuals, who will feel a more marked attraction towards certain people than others. Pheromones therefore play an important role in human sexuality...just as in that of animals!

Although the smell that each person gives off is very strong, it is not significantly noticeable. No need to worry...you don't give off a particular smell that would have the capacity to attract or repel others. Everyone therefore has their own olfactory signature and which is, in some way, included in their DNA.

Certain very perceptible odors will help to increase our own sexual desire, and to release pheromones. Our partner's skin, putting on a sweater that still smells of their perfume, the particular and unique smell of their sex and even the smell of the sheets after having had sex. These unconscious mechanisms will make us release more pheromones, which will have the capacity to increase our partner's desire without their knowledge.

And if men are sensitive and reactive to pheromones, it seems that women are even more so. The partner's physique and intelligence are certainly not negligible, but for most of you ladies, a man with more pheromones will attract you more. An excited man would unconsciously be more noticeable to the woman and therefore more attractive. Conversely, postmenopausal women release fewer and fewer pheromones, which has the effect that unconsciously, a majority of men would be more attracted to women who are still fertile.

Obviously, pheromones are secreted by our body in a completely imperceptible way. In this way, without our knowing it, they influence the desire we feel for a person and naturally pushes us towards certain types of partners rather than others. Admit that you won't feel the same way now!
