Sexuality continues to evolve. From year to year, new terms, new practices and sometimes even new genres appear. To get up to date with the new sexual vocabulary, Sexxx Plus presents you with some new features in terms of sexuality!
Demisexuality
Contrary to what its name suggests, demisexuality does not imply a half sexual relationship, or making love “half”. On the contrary, demisexual people, like everyone else, have full sexual relations. What differentiates them is the notion of attachment.
Indeed, among demisexuals, to have sexual attraction, there must be an emotional attraction towards the partner. They are therefore incapable of making love with a person for whom they do not have feelings. When the heart is not in it, demisexuals do not feel any orgasm during sexual intercourse. They are the ones who always put feelings and attachment before sex. If you are looking for a one-night stand...be aware that the demisexual person will not be able to engage in a "one night stand" with you! She must have an attachment to you to succeed in making love to you.
Between black and white…there is sexual gray
Unlike demisexuality, gray sexuality allows you to have a sexual relationship without feelings being involved. The term sexual gray describes a person who falls between sexuality and asexuality. Depending on different periods of their lives, sexually gray people will have a very intense or very absent desire for sexual relations. They can therefore go a very long period without having a libido before having “the libido in the carpet” for example. This therefore leads to a very irregular frequency of sexual intercourse and not always easy to follow!
Intersexuality
Intersexuality is the new trendy term to mean a person who is a hermaphrodite, that is, having both male and female characteristics in oneself. Indeed, this long-used term has recently been designated as pejorative and replaced by intersexual. According to a UN report, there are 120 million intersex people around the world. These people would present significant differences in 3 forms. First at the chromosomal level, where the X (for women) and Y (for men) chromosomes would not be clearly defined in the body. An intersex person could have half of a chromosome of the opposite sex giving them sometimes notable physical and psychological differences.
The second difference would be more hormonal. Intersexuality can indeed affect hormones. Female people can therefore have more masculine characteristics and vice versa. This is also the reason why we sometimes notice women with more pronounced hair growth or even a man with a relatively defined chest.
The third and final difference relating to intersex people is reproductive. At this time, it is the genital and reproductive systems which are rather unusual. A person could have a penis and ovaries or even a vagina and a testicle.
Fortunately, even though these new expressions may seem funny and new, it is reassuring and encouraging to see that our society is more and more open to differences in sexuality. These are many steps that are being taken in the right direction, and that must continue to be taken over time. Sexxx Plus is happy to be able to live in a society that demonstrates openness and acceptance!
