The Prelude offers a new method of internal cleaning by allowing the rectum to be rinsed with one or more small volumes of liquid. Unlike conventional enemas that discharge too quickly and fill the bulb with air, the Prelude uses a special one-way, slow-flow valve. This valve slows the flow of fluid and prevents air from entering the bulb, while preventing backflow of fluid when the nozzle is in the rectum.
Why is a smaller volume flush better? Because large volume flushing can cause fluid to build up in the colon, causing cramping and a longer cleansing process. Why slow flow? Because introducing the fluid slowly allows you to better control the process, thus avoiding pressure and cramps caused by a rapid rise of fluid in the rectum.
For most people, the goal of an enema is to clean the rectum, not the entire lower digestive tract. The Prelude makes this easier, faster and more comfortable. Ideal for preparation before anal play, the Aneros Prelude Enema Kit features a special slow-flow, one-way nozzle for simple, comfortable preparation.
